Mike is Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and Co-Head of the Flagship private equity strategy at Charlesbank Capital Partners. In addition to overseeing the management of the firm, he helps lead the business & consumer services team and remains actively involved in its sourcing and investment efforts. He has been with the firm since inception and in the last decade was instrumental in adding the Credit and Technology strategies to the platform. Mike joined Harvard Private Capital Group, the predecessor to Charlesbank, in 1997. He began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he focused on corporate strategy work.

Mike serves on the boards of several portfolio companies, including Accordion, Aprio, Front Row Group, Lido Advisors, Petra Funds Group, Six Degrees and World Insurance Associates. Outside the firm, he serves on the Board of Governors of Partners in Health and the Board of Trustees of Nativity Preparatory School of Boston. He lived in Seoul, Korea, before moving to Boston to attend Harvard University where he received his bachelor’s degree. Today he lives with his wife and two children in Boston. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, hiking and other outdoor activities with his family.
