Sharo Atmeh is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Montauk Capital, responsible for evaluating investment prospects and overseeing investment processes, day-to-day operations, and all administrative, compliance, and fund operations across the firm.
Prior, Sharo built an energy technology investing platform at Alyeska Investment Group, a $31B+ AUM hedge fund, where as a Portfolio Manager he was among the initial and largest investors in growth-stage public companies spanning all cleantech verticals. He also designed and ran the firm's sustainability integration and engagement programs.
Earlier in his career, Sharo helped establish a Fortune 50 sustainability advisory firm and sold it to PJT Partners. He previously practiced law at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and clerked for both a federal judge and the SEC. Sharo holds a B.A. in Political Science, Journalism, and Philosophy from Rutgers University, an M.P.P. from Harvard Kennedy School, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
