With over 35 years of experience, Steve Amato is a Senior M&A Partner in Special Acquisition Services Group in New York City where he is responsible for providing finance, accounting, M&A structuring, and transaction advisory services to various clients including private equity and strategic buyers as well as to various sports teams and leagues.

In addition to serving as the U.S. M&A leader for the sports, media and entertainment industry practice, Steve is the Senior Advisory Partner for the National Football League and Delaware North as well as the Lead Client Service Partner for the National Basketball Association, J Tsai Sports (Brooklyn Nets & Barclays Center) and Skydance Media. Steve also spends twenty-five percent of his time in London as the European Lead Client Service Partner for KKR. In these roles, Steve manages the overall relationships and oversees the delivery of all professional services to these clients.

Steve is also a member of Deloitte Corporate Finance, the Firm’s broker dealer business. Holding Series 79 & 63 licenses allows Steve to work on various corporate finance and investment banking transactions.

Steve was the industry advisory partner for NBCUniversal and in the past was a special adviser to the senior executive team of Fox Pan American Sports, a joint venture between HM Capital and Fox.

Before joining Deloitte, Steve was the Chief Financial Officer of 180 Connect, a publicly traded home services company (sold to DirecTV).

Earlier in his career, Steve was a partner at Arthur Andersen where he concentrated on the media and entertainment sector and served News Corporation, Fox Corporation, MGM, and the NFL.
