Akiko Fujita is a Director of Private Asset Investments at ORIX Life Insurance Corporation. Since joining ORIX Life in 2022, she has spearheaded the growth of the Private Equity portfolio. Prior to this role, she spent 15 years at Nippon Wealth Life Insurance Company (also known as MassMutual Life Japan), where she held various positions, including serving as a portfolio manager for Private Equity investments. She began her career in the Treasury Department of DaimlerChrysler Japan Holding (now known as Mercedes Benz Japan), focusing on funding operations.

She holds a BSc in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Buckingham.
