George Maltezos, CFA, Managing Director, Head of Alternative Specialists Team (AST) - Asia Pacific, and lead distribution of Alternatives throughout the region. His regional team are responsible for the marketing of BlackRock's suite of Alternative Investment products and capabilities across Asia Pacific, focusing on both Institutional and Wealth Investors.

George has dedicated 20 years career to understanding the alternatives complex and to building long term relationships with a wide spectrum of wholesale investors, including sovereign wealth, pension, real money, bank, insurance, consultants and fund of funds.

Mr. Maltezos was previously the Partner, Head of Asia Pacific of Campbell Lutyens, to help develop Campbell Lutyens' Asia Pacific activities, including Head of Sales for the region.

Mr. Maltezos was also a Founder and CEO of Maltisian Capital, a boutique capital advisory firm, formed in 2013 to execute a personal philosophy of the founder and CEO: to connect people, capital and opportunities in the alternatives space. Maltisian Capital is dedicated to addressing the information, awareness and opportunity gap between the growing pools of capital, the global universe of specialist asset managers, and the broad range of investment opportunities in the alternatives space.

Prior to Maltisian Capital, Mr. Maltezos was a Managing Director, Head of Credit and Alternatives, Australia and New Zealand, 2IC Institutional Solutions Sales, Asia Pacific at Goldman Sachs Australia (Securities Division) and also a Director, Head of Strategic Solutions Group, Australia and New Zealand from Merrill Lynch (Australia and Hong Kong) He successfully connected capital to both liquid and illiquid investment strategies across a wide range of traditional (Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Hedge Funds) and next generation alternatives, such as Special Situations, Structured Credit, Distressed Credit, Private Credit/ Direct Lending, Catastrophe Insurance Linked, Aviation, Rolling Stock, Timber & Forestry, Media (Film, TV), Whole of Business Financings and Royalties (Music, Drug, Consumer Brands).

Mr. Maltezos earned a B.Bus Degree from University of Technology, Sydney and is a CFA Charterholder, as well as a Member of Sydney Society of Financial Analysts
