Profile

Machal Karim is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and the Head of Responsible Investing &

ESG. In her role, she leads Blue Owl's Responsible Investing mandate for both corporate

and investment activities.

Before joining Blue Owl, Machal was a Manager in the Impact Team at British International

Investment (formerly CDC Group plc.) based out of London. Prior to that, she worked at

LeapFrog Investments in impact investing, and at Oxford Policy Management in financial

and private sector development. Machal began her career working with the United Nations

Capital Development Fund in New York and then at MasterCard Foundation in Toronto.

Machal received her BA in International Development from the University of Toronto and

her MPA with a concentration in Applied Economics from Cornell University.
