Sonny Masero is a Managing Director at Hines, responsible for the Sustainability Strategies team within Investment Management. He is tasked with the ongoing integration of sustainability into decisions about investment value creation and protection. This includes global collaboration across the firm to horizon scan and deliver the strategic design of policy, programs and evidence-based reporting, structured foresight, decision frameworks with accountability, and the development of new data analysis.

Sonny takes a human-centred approach to leadership and succeeds because of the teams he leads and collaborates with - utilising the collective power of cognitive diversity.

Sonny draws on almost 30 years of experience working at the intersection of real estate, strategy, sustainability, technology and investment. He contributes to the work of the WEF, OECD and FCLTGlobal on long-term investment and impact. With degrees in Management Design Engineering and Sustainability, he recently studied AI at INSEAD and Sustainable Finance at the University of Cambridge.
