Abdulla Al Ameri is the Chief Operating Officer at the Center of Excellence for Applied Research & Training (CERT), the investment arm of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT). Since joining CERT in 2020, Mr. Al Ameri has brought over 18 years of strategic leadership and human resources acumen, cultivated through senior roles across the energy and education sectors. His career commenced in 2006 with ADNOC, where he established a robust foundation in human resources and strategic advisory.

Before assuming his current position at CERT, Mr. Al Ameri held key leadership roles, most notably serving as Head and Management Advisor at the Petroleum Institute (PI) from 2010 to 2020. Known for his commitment to HR excellence and strategic alignment, he has developed a strong reputation in consultancy and advisory, seamlessly aligning human capital with organizational goals.

Mr. Al Ameri’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, an MBA, and a Master’s in Human Resources, equipping him to integrate technological insights with HR strategy. His expertise spans corporate decision-making, strategic development, and regulatory compliance. As COO, he is focused on optimizing operational efficiency, cost management, and enhancing CERT’s impact in fulfilling its mission.
