When you apply for the course you will be asked to choose whether you want to take the credit-bearing or non-credit bearing option. Credit-bearing means you will receive 10 credits at level 5 (level 4 for the core Key Issues Module) and you will take an additional assessment in the form of a written assignment.

You can choose bundles of 4 or 8 modules for both options or take an individual module.

With the bundles you must complete the Key Issues in Terrorism and Political Violence core module and then you can choose any from the remaining 11 choices.

You may pay in 2 instalments for the 8 module CPD credit bearing Certificate. Instalments are not available for the other routes.

All fees are payable to Informa Connect Ltd as the course partner to Liverpool John Moores University.

We consider applications on their individual merits and circumstances. However, as a guide, the elements we consider when assessing the suitability of an applicant are:

• GCSE Grade C/ 4 or above in English and Mathematics/Numeracy or their equivalents.
• Alternatively, applicants with relevant professional experience in related fields may be considered.
• Proficiency in English – where English is a second language you will be required to demonstrate a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 575.
• In some cases, applicants who do not possess the standard entry requirements may be permitted to enrol at the discretion of the programme leader.

As part of your application you will be asked to upload the following documents:

• Copies of any academic/ professional certificates
• A copy of your CV
• A copy of the back page of your passport showing the photo and passport number
• A personal statement explaining your reasons for choosing the course and your interest in the subject – only for students who are studying the credit bearing modules.

These should be uploaded to the application form or can be emailed direct to security@informaconnect.com if you have problems uploading. These must be submitted before you can be accepted.

Once you are ready, please complete the online application form where you will also be asked to select your module choices. You can opt to pay by credit card or receive an invoice.
