The green building professional community came together at the Javits Center in New York City for the 2026 Greenbuild International Conference + Expo, a week that brought thousands of architects, developers, policymakers and climate innovators together to explore the forces shaping the future of the built environment.

With more than 250 exhibiting companies and over 150 CE-accredited education sessions, this year's theme, Invest for Impact, centered the conversation on investing, developing new projects and retrofitting existing structures for a more sustainable future.

From full-day summits on resilient design and strategic decarbonization, to a keynote from Fareed Zakaria on the geopolitical forces shaping a healthier world, to a powerful panel on building the digital future sustainably featuring leaders from Holder Construction, Infrastructure Masons, STACK Infrastructure and Google, the conversations were sharp, candid and future-focused.

Green building professionals also connected beyond the sessions, from the Women in Green Luncheon and speed networking to green building tours of the Empire State Building, the Refinery at Domino Sugar Factory and the Apollo Theater, closing the week out with the Greenbuild After Hours Party at TAO Downtown.
