Jonathan Dorigatti, PhDScientist II, ECO Process Development at CodexisSpeaker
Profile
Dr. Jonathan Dorigatti joined Codexis in 2021 as a Product Development Scientist within the Life Sciences division where he contributed to the development of the Codex® HiCap RNA Polymerase. In 2024, he transitioned to the ECO Process Development team where he now leads the development of Codexis' NQP (nucleoside quadriphosphate) process, a critical component of the company's ECO Synthesis™ platform. This enzymatic approach aims to provide a more efficient and cost-effective method for producing nucleotide quadriphosphates essential for RNA synthesis, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional chemical processes. Prior to joining Codexis, Dr. Dorigatti worked at BioFire Diagnostics, focusing on the production of oligonucleotides for point-of-care diagnostic kits. He earned his B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Utah and his Ph.D. in Integrated Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in the biology of aging from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. |
