Christian Plank is co-founder and chief technology officer of Ethris GmbH which is located in the Munich metropolitan area in Germany. Christian Plank holds a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Vienna, Austria. After a postdoctoral fellowship with Prof. Francis C. Szoka at the University of California, San Francisco, he returned to Europe to become a professor at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. He has been principal investigator and coordinator of numerous grants projects that have focused on non-viral nucleic acid delivery and nanomagnetic drug targeting. He is the author of more than 170 publications and co-inventor of numerous patents in the field of nucleic acid delivery.
