Fengmei Pi is currently the head of product development and manufacturing in GenScript, where her team focuses on the chemistry, manufacturing, and quality control for mRNA, circular RNA, RNA-delivering vehicles, and gene fragment.

Fengmei Pi got her PhD in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Kentucky and EMBA from Washington State University, with expertise in RNA nanotechnology and RNA therapeutics development. She authored more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed high-impact factor journals and co-invented multiple patents related to RNA nanoparticle decorated exosomes for targeted delivery of siRNA, mRNA design and production platform optimization, circular RNA design and preparations.
