Joseph Timpona leads the novel viral technologies group at Orbital Therapeutics. He has spent much of the last 12 years engineering viral vectors for therapeutics and vaccines in both academic and industry settings. He is a co-author on a patent for a viral-vectored Zika virus vaccine and patents for Anellovirus-based vectors. His areas of expertise include genome engineering and receptor targeting.
