Profile

Ken Yamada, Ph.D., is nucleoside, nucleotide, and oligonucleotide chemist, and is an Assistant Professor in RNA Therapeutics Institute in University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is currently focusing on novel oligonucleotide backbone chemistry that broadly impacts the safety, potency, and accuracy of oligonucleotide-based therapeutics research field. He obtained Ph.D. at Tokyo Institute of Technology under supervision of Prof. Mitsuo Sekine, followed by two of postdoctoral works under supervision of Prof. Masad Damha (McGill university) and Prof. Anastasia Khvorova (UMass Medial School).
