Bill Bates joined Prologis in 2021 as Vice President, Investment Officer, based in Toronto. He is responsible for capital deployment activities including acquisitions, development and pipeline replenishment, working closely with teams across Canada to identify and execute strategic growth opportunities. Since joining Prologis, Bill has played an important role in the continued expansion of the company’s Canadian platform. He has helped drive growth in the Greater Toronto Area through strategic acquisitions, land investment and development, and played a key role on the team that successfully established Prologis’ presence in the Vancouver market.

Bill has more than 17 years of industrial real estate experience, with deep expertise in land development, acquisitions and the transportation and logistics sectors. Prior to joining Prologis, he led the industrial brokerage team for a large global commercial real estate firm in Toronto.

Bill holds an Honors degree in Management and Finance from Western University and studied abroad at the Stockholm School of Business in Sweden.
