Profile

Colin Lynch is the Managing Director and Head of Global Real Estate Investments at TD Asset Management, where he is responsible for ~$25 billion of investments in over 1,100 properties located in 120 cities worldwide. Colin joined TD Asset Management in October 2015, initially working with TD Asset Management’s senior executive team on corporate strategy. Colin was formerly the General Manager of Global Strategy at Aimia (formerly Groupe Aeroplan), a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company and an Investment Banker at Morgan Stanley. Colin’s work in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley involved, among other duties, advising Mark Carney (then Governor of the Bank of Canada) on Canada’s financial stability during the financial crisis. Colin holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University. All were received with distinction. He also holds an ARCT (honours) from the Royal Conservatory of Music. In 2020, Colin was named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40, a Trustee Emeritus of Queen's University and a Recipient of the Queen's University Toronto Branch Award. Colin is a member of the Board of Directors of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto Investment Board. He is a co-founder and Member of the Board of Directors of the Black Opportunity Fund, an initiative to raise a substantial fund to address anti-Black racism and systemic discrimination in Canada. Colin is also an Advisory Board Member of OneEleven, a large technology incubator in Toronto. He was formerly Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Toronto Community Housing Corporation.
