Profile

Liz Murphy is Chief Financial Officer of Oxford Properties Group, the Real Estate investing arm of OMERS, and leads the global finance function including strategic financial planning and reporting, treasury and capital markets, valuations, IT systems and data analytics. She has extensive experience globally structuring real estate and private equity transactions acquisitions, divestiture and mergers.

Currently, Liz is a member of Oxford’s Executive Committee leadership team and Investment Committee. She joined Oxford in 2012 and has had progressive financial leadership roles including dual role of Senior Vice President of Finance at Oxford and Global Head of Tax at OMERS for almost five years. During her tenure, she has been a significant contributor to Oxford’s global expansion, the extension of the organization’s global tax & finance capabilities having served on the OMERS Management Investment Committee and OMERS Operating Committee.

Prior to joining Oxford, Liz was an M&A tax partner at KPMG advising on international transactions for global organizations in a variety of sectors. Her career at KPMG included a extensive experience in audit, compliance, and tax advisory disciplines.

Liz has a CPA, CA designation and holds a Bachelor Mathematics Degree, Honours Chartered Accountancy/Information Systems from the University of Waterloo.

Liz is a former Chair of the CPA Canada Industry Tax Committee and is currently a member. She also a member of CREW and REALPAC Executive and Financial Best Practices Committee.
