Guided by opportunity, advocacy, and technology, Peter Altobelli has built a career helping to move Canada's real estate industry forward. As President of Yardi Canada Ltd., he leads the Canadian business and works with real estate organizations to adopt technology that supports growth, efficiency, and better decision-making. With more than 40 years of experience in technology, Peter opened Yardi's first Canadian office in 1998 and has played a key role in growing the company into a market leader with roughly 500 staff across Toronto, Saskatoon, and Vancouver.
He is also an active contributor to the real estate industry and community, serving on the Hamilton District Apartment Association board and the Greater Toronto Apartment Association Charitable Foundation board, as a former board member for FRPO, and as Chair of Toronto Metropolitan University's Ted Rogers School of Business Real Estate Advisory Council from 2021 to 2026. In 2024, Peter received the Canadian Federation of Apartment Associations Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his lasting impact on Canada's rental housing industry, as well as the Ted Rogers School G. Raymond Chang Outstanding Volunteer Award for his contributions to education, mentorship, and community leadership.
A lifelong Hamilton resident, Peter is married with three children and holds a diploma in Computer Technology from Mohawk College.
