Sarah Esler leads the team responsible for managing and growing AIMCo’s portfolio of domestic and global commercial real estate loans. The ~C$5 billion portfolio spans multiple asset classes and strategies in Canada, the United States and Western Europe. Over her 20+ year career, Sarah has been directly involved in over $25 billion of real estate finance transactions, including: conventional and CMHC (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) insured loans, CMBS loans, fund investments and programmatic joint-venture agreements with strategic global partners. Sarah serves as AIMCo’s representative at the Investor Leadership Network’s “Diversity in Investment” initiative and is a member of AIMCo’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Management Committee. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia and is a CFA Charterholder.
