Thomas Mueller is a founding director of the Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC), the leading national organization supporting Canada’s transition to sustainable buildings. Thomas became President and CEO of the Council in 2005, leading Council’s national green building strategy, programs and standards, as well as advocacy and policy initiatives. Under Thomas’ leadership, the Council has seen over 63 million m2 of space certified under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED® rating system, and the launch of the made-in-Canada Zero Carbon Building standards. As a past board member of the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), the World Green Building Council (WGBC), the Cornerstone Standards Council (CSC), and current board member of the Building Energy Innovators Council (BEIC), Thomas is an internationally recognized authority and advocate for green buildings and sustainable community development.
