Suresh Nagpal leads the Transfer Pricing at American Express, where he oversees the development and execution of the company’s global transfer pricing strategy. With over 25 years of specialized experience spanning across transfer pricing and international tax, Suresh has proven track record in navigating complex regulatory environment, aligning tax policies with business objectives, and ensuring compliance with U.S. transfer pricing regulations, OECD guidelines, BEPS initiatives and country-specific regulations. A thought leader in the field, he has successfully managed cross-border tax issues and disputes, has led various business-initiated projects resolving intricate intercompany pricing issues and thereby mitigating tax risks. Suresh regularly contributes insights on transfer pricing developments and tax risk management. Suresh is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a bachelor’s degree (honors) in Commerce and has to his credit number of leadership programs including the one from Harvard Business School on Leadership Excellence, Strategic Leadership. Throughout his career, Suresh has received multiple awards for excellence in strategy, innovation and operations further solidifying his reputation as a leader in the field.
