Christine Hummel rejoined Sanofi September 2024 as US Head, Trade & Channel Management. In this role, Christine leads a team that has responsibility for wholesaler, distributor, retail & specialty pharmacies, health systems, GPO or any purchasing entity for Sanofi’s US pharmaceutical & vaccine products. Her team negotiates contracts for Sanofi’s product portfolio (Established Products, Gen Meds & Specialty Care) to ensure seamless patient access and care. Christine also is part of the Healthcare Distribution Alliance, Industry Relations Council.

Previous to this role, Christine was at CVS Health as Vice President, Pharmacy Trade Products, Pharmacy Care Delivery In this role, This role was responsible for the development & execution of products or solutions across all CVS Health’s pharmacy channels in order to deliver value to the pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Previous to CVS Health, Christine was Vice President of Specialty Distribution Services for Strategic Pricing and Manufacturers Relations within McKesson’s Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services Division. Christine led the Specialty Distribution Team, which engages with specialty manufacturer partners to support $60B in specialty distribution and commercialize strategies with manufacturers.

Christine’s experience also includes time at Sanofi Genzyme as Senior Director, Innovation & Execution within the Specialty Care Market Access Team. She was responsible for proactively developing strategies and solutions with customers to create value across the Specialty Care Division. Prior to this role, Christine led the Rare and Rare Blood US East Market Access Team at Sanofi Genzyme. Her team was responsible for contracting with PBM’s, plans & payers for the rare and rare blood product portfolio.

Prior to Sanofi Genzyme, Christine was with CVS Health for 10 years where she held various positions within the Trade Industry Relations Team. She was responsible for PBM, Medicare and Specialty contracting across multiple manufactures. The last 5 years at CVS, Christine led a team within Trade Specialty Services, which was responsible for all pharmaceutical services, discount & distribution contracting. Within the Specialty Services Team, Christine also led the Specialty Pipeline Team, who was responsible for collaborating with new biotech companies on new drug launches.

Prior to CVS, Christine worked within healthcare for 15 years at Merck and BMS in Sales, Marketing & Training with the cardiovascular, osteoarthritis & auto immune therapeutic areas.
