Profile

Tim Cernohous, PharmD, PhD, is Senior Vice President and President of Community Retail and Long-Term Care Pharmacy for Cencora which encompasses the Good Neighbor Pharmacy and Elevate Provider Network organizations. As a former practicing community pharmacist with a passion for continuous improvement, Tim brings energy and expertise to his daily work. A fierce advocate for the business and profession of pharmacy, he is known to put his lab coat back on and volunteer at his local Good Neighbor Pharmacy from time to time.

Prior to his current role, Tim was Senior Vice President of Commercial Advancement and Operations at Cencora within the Health System and Government Services business unit. In that role, he led collaborative teams that provide Cencora customers with data-driven insights, people-powered resources, and platforms for optimizing the procurement and application of drug therapy. Tim also oversaw the development of Cencora’s next generation of solutions to help health system pharmacies improve product availability, control inventory, and manage pharmaceutical lifecycles.

Prior to joining Cencora, Tim led Ambulatory Pharmacy Services at Essentia Health (EH) where he held operational responsibility for more than 20 ambulatory pharmacies, as well as EH’s Specialty Pharmacy, Prescription Service Center, Medication Therapy Management, and Patient Assistance programs. In addition, he conducted research on patient incentives, pharmacy benefit design, and population care management processes.

Tim earned his Pharm.D. from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, where he later completed his Ph.D. degree in social and administrative pharmacy with an emphasis on consumer behaviour.
