Peter has been Head of Policy at StepChange Debt Charity for 8 years and has worked on mortgage, credit and related consumer policy arears for 16 years.

Peter’s work has been instrumental in the consumer protection debate about PPI, on mortgage arrears, regulation and safety nets following the global financial crash, on credit regulation and support for people facial debt problems, such as the forthcoming breathing space scheme.
