Profile

Yvonne has over 35 years’ experience in the financial services industry, working in both general retail and specialist mortgage functions. This knowledge, coupled with direct involved in a variety of different charity initiatives, has provided a real insight and empathy for the often multiple challenges faced by vulnerable customers; and promoted a lifelong passion to make a real difference in her various management roles.

Building on her coaching diploma and ILM certification has enabled Yvonne to develop training and support which is specifically designed to help staff effectively identifying different vulnerabilities and ‘think outside the box’ when it comes to providing the most appropriate forms of assistance.

For the last 5 years Yvonne has worked as Bank of Ireland UK’s dedicated Consumer Vulnerability Manager, a wide reaching role which includes responsibility for driving the continuous improvement of all relevant policies and procedures, active industry engagement and providing specialist support to customer facing staff – either through direct case referrals or via a cross-business network of Vulnerable Customer Champions.

In her free time Yvonne loves to sing and following two years with Karen Gibson’s gospel choir now fronts a rock and indie covers band. She also runs, but by her own admission her report card would probably read ‘must try harder’ in this regard!
