As President and CEO of the Urban Development Institute (UDI), Anne McMullin has long advocated for transformational change. Through her leadership, the industry has seen the most significant change in housing policy in more than a generation—she is an active voice in the industry and known as a thought leader among her peers.
With over 900 corporate members, UDI is a non-profit and non-partisan industry association representing thousands of individuals involved in all land development and planning facets, including developers, property managers, financial lenders, lawyers, engineers, planners, architects, appraisers, real estate professionals, First Nations, local governments, and government agencies.
Before her appointment in 2012, Anne held multiple leadership and communications roles, including President and General Manager of the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, Director of Communications at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, and President of the BC Salmon Farmers' Association. She was also a reporter for Global TV.
Anne studied political science at the University of British Columbia and journalism at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). In 2017, she received the BCIT Distinguished Alumni Award.
