Why the move to Berlin?

Work is well underway on the new look, new location FundForum International.
It has been the fund management sector's worst kept secret that in 2016 we are heading to Berlin. Why?
Berlin is where we need to be to ensure that we can make the most difference to the infrastructure of the global investment industry. As the event known for being the hub where the big deals get done, The 2016 FundForum will be the catalyst for shaping the next era of investment management; one characterised by increased collaboration between intermediary investors and investment managers as they work out how to deliver trusted returns and reduced risk for the long term savings of the end customer.
Our mission is to enable our customers to engage and collaborate with as many key decision makers and potential partners as possible. Progressing their business exponentially, one place one time.
Quite simply, Berlin enables us to attract more top decision makers from core communities than before.
WE CAN ATTRACT MORE INVESTORS.
Berlin enables us to reach out and engage with a wider range of investors and fund influencers who were unable to attend Monaco because of the optics: More institutional investors where it crosses over with retail- eg DC and workplace pensions; more insurers, more diversity generally. We would expect to attract around 300 different investor firms in 2016 compared to 250 in 2015. More than any other event.
WE CAN ATTRACT GREATER DIVERSITY OF ASSET MANAGERS
...who were unable to attend Monaco because of the optics. Particularly the German Speaking Europe asset managers, large and mid- size; mid-size boutique UK firms and greater Nordic participation.
WE CAN ATTRACT MORE INNOVATORS
...who now perceive FundForum to be a serious exchange and not just entertainment.
Berlin’s new space and invigorated environment also enables us to break with tradition and create a new event structure, one more focussed and fit for purpose 2016. The FundForum Berlin is now made up of three core parallel events with access all areas networking:
- Global Leaders’ Business Forum - CEOs and Big Picture Business Strategy & The Customer
- The Investment Strategy Forum – Investors, CIOs and PMs
- FutureFinance Forum – Innovators Across The Investment Management Ecosystem
All matched with investment in new innovative formats and applications for facilitating targeted and engaged networking, partnership and collaboration across the industry.
I am starting to work on commercial partnerships for 2016, I'd love to connect with industry to discuss further. My contact details are listed below - please do not hesitate to reach out.
