Michael represents healthcare providers and life science organizations through various transactional and regulatory matters, with a focus on mid-market mergers and acquisitions. He advises Private Equity and client held companies on a variety of topics such as due diligence, post-merger integration, target operating models, and business process improvement and growth strategy. Leveraging his distinctive blend of business, technology, and legal knowledge and experience, Michael develops solutions to drive organizational transformation and support the objectives of the investment thesis.

More specifically, due to Michael's deal work, he has a breadth of experience, both operationally and functionally with the majority of leading healthcare solutions including acute and ambulatory EHR and practice management, revenue cycle, CRM, CRO/clinical trial, pharmacy management. This exposure required Michael to assess current solutions, identify gaps, and compare capabilities and potential fit of competitor solutions and provide recommendations.

In addition, Michael counseled healthcare providers on regulatory and compliance issues and has led a team of attorneys for operational assessments and as it relates to 340B, HIPAA/HITECH, Stark/Anti-Kickback, CMS, and other Federal and State regulations. Moreover, he has identified opportunities pertaining to revenue cycle optimization, led 20+ government audits, managed the software selection and implementation for over 30+ large health systems, and provided expert witness testimony for CMS fraud and abuse matters.
