Emily Chien is Senior Fellow, Harvard University specializing in climate finance, AI and the new technologies enabling our net zero transition.
She serves on the IFRS Foundation Advisory Council which provides strategic advice to the ISSB and IASB Sustainability and Accounting Boards. Previously, Emily led IBM Global Climate Offerings and Partnerships, was a leader in the AI financial services practice and served as a World Economic Forum AI Fellow focusing on the Responsible Use of AI. Her innovation is recognized in a U.S. patent for digital capabilities now used by Amazon.com.
Emily is founding co-chair the 100 Women in Finance ESG Peer Advisory Group and is a Harvard Social Impact Review Senior Editor. She serves on the Harvard Data Science Initiative Advisory Board and is a member of the Economic Club of New York.
Her earlier strategic and operating executive career spans investment management, insurance risk transfer and global platforms and partnerships at JP Morgan, Fidelity Investments, Prudential Financial and American Express.
