Profile
Joop is fully focussed on Green, Social and Sustainability bond structuring and advisory since 2014. In his current role is head of Green Bonds, he structured and arranged ABN AMRO's award winning green bond program and supports the further development of the sustainable markets via the development of the world’s first sustainable shipping loan for Anthony Veder and CBI certified OVG green real estate loan.
He is supporting several FIG and Corporate issuers like DKB, Berlin Hyp, SEB and TenneT as green bond advisor. Joop is founding member of the GRESB green bond working group and representing ABN AMRO as member of the Green Bond Principles. He is an active member of the Energy Efficient Mortgage Action Plan and the European Green securities steering committee.
Prior to his focus on Sustainable Finance, Joop worked for many years as FIG DCM origination at ABN AMRO and ING. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Groningen and is based in Amsterdam and attended the Prince of Wales Business and Sustainability Programme of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
