Profile

Thomas Roulland is Head of Sustainability Standards & Analytics at AllianzGI. The team drives the firm’s sustainability system, its strategy and positioning, bringing together market standards, regulatory developments and data insights in a range of solutions for all asset classes and strongly collaborating with supporting functions. As part of its mission, the team spearheads a push into the development of innovative state-of-the-art technology and ESG data to support sustainability research and stewardship teams. He is integral to the development of new sustainable investing methodologies across asset classes as well as in the design and creation of client-oriented solutions. His team also oversees AllianzGI’s ESG integration efforts, runs its ESG scoring method and develops the firm’s data set for the climate strategy.

Prior to joining AllianzGI in 2021, Thomas Roulland was Head of Responsible Investment Solutions, Models & Tools at AXA IM. Before that, he served as a multi-asset portfolio engineer from 2016 to 2019. Before working for AXA IM, he was a performance analyst at AllianzGI. He started his careers in 2010 as middle-office analyst at B*Capital-BNP Paribas.

Thomas holds a Master I in Capital markets from EDHEC Business School and a Master II – Trading & Asset management from ESLSCA Business School. He is a CFA and CIPM charterholder, and is FRM certified. He was member of the Eurosif ESG Ratings & Data Advisory Group, a mission-driven working group fostering on solutions and recommendations to policymakers to ensure coherent, reliable, and sound framework for ESG ratings and data products.
