Anne Lorgen Riise

Country Director at Innovation Norway Middle East

Anne serves as Commercial Counsellor at the Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and as Country Director for Innovation Norway Middle East, the official Norwegian trade and investment promotion organisation.

In this role, she supports Norwegian companies in entering, operating, and scaling across the GCC market by providing market insights, strategic advice, and facilitating connections with partners in both the private and public sectors. Innovation Norway also works to attract foreign direct investment to Norway.

Anne brings extensive leadership and boardroom experience from global corporations in aquaculture, technology, and law. Most recently, she held the position of Executive Vice President and CHRO at Mowi, one of the world’s largest aquaculture companies.

She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Bergen and Oxford Brookes University.
