Dr. Ebru Emsen is an Associate Professor at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, where she leads teaching and research in small ruminant production, animal welfare, and precision livestock farming (PLF). Her expertise lies in integrating artificial intelligence, IoT-based monitoring, and reproductive biotechnologies into modern livestock systems. She is Principal Investigator of several funded projects, including Flock Forward: AI-Driven PLF and Image Analysis for Enhanced Reproductive and Welfare Outcomes in Sheep Breeding and Gamification for Farmer Engagement in Positive Animal Welfare. Actively engaged in global research networks such as EAAP, AWRN, and EU COST Actions, Dr. Emsen advances smart farming strategies that enhance efficiency, resilience, and sustainability in livestock systems, bridging traditional practices with next-generation technologies.
