Giovanni Angiolini is the Founder and CEO of Trapital, a privately owned holding company established in 2017 and headquartered in Dubai, UAE. Trapital specialises in strategic project management, business consultancy, and facilitating market entry into the Middle East and Africa. With a focus on bridging the gap between public and private sectors, Giovanni has played a pivotal role in guiding international companies through complex regional landscapes, enabling them to establish a sustainable and successful presence. Through Trapital’s consultancy division, Giovanni supports clients with services ranging from strategic business development to risk and security advisory, with a particular emphasis on public-private partnerships. He has worked closely with organisations such as the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Dutch Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, leveraging his regional expertise and network to drive impactful collaborations. In his role as Director Middle East & Africa for Dutch Greenhouse Delta (DGD), Trapital’s core client, Giovanni leads efforts to position Dutch expertise in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) and water management across the Gulf region. He is instrumental in shaping and delivering the Partners for International Business (PIB) programs that address food security and sustainability challenges in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, and beyond. Giovanni also serves on the Steering Committee of the Saudi AgriFood Tech Alliance (SAFTA),where he contributes to the Kingdom’s growing innovation ecosystem in agri-food technology. Additionally, he is an Advisory Board Member for the Regenerative Agriculture program at Goumbook, a UAE-based initiative promoting sustainable agricultural solutions in arid environments. Through these roles, Giovanni continues to drive international cooperation, sustainable development, and the advancement of resilient, climate-smart food systems in the Middle East and Africa.
