Mohamed Dawoud has more than 30 years of international experience in water resources management, hydrogeology and groundwater, water economics, desalination, and wastewater treatment and reuse spanning 15 countries in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. He was also in charge of resource mobilisation, fundraising and management of annual $35 million portfolio in the areas of water resources, hydrogeology and groundwater, desalination, climate change, and Water Food and Energy (WEF) Nexus. He has an established global network and relationships and provides consultancy services for international partners on water and agriculture sustainable development, including the World Bank, CEDARE, UN Environment, AOAD, ICARDA, ESCWA, UNESCO, FAO, AfDB, ICBA, bilateral agencies such as GIZ, JICA, and NASA, and non-governmental organisations.

Mohamed is internationally known for my work and research on promoting innovative technologies on desalination and water treatment. Since 2015, he is leading research programs with Wageningen University, IHE Delft in Netherlands and Massey University in New Zeeland for promoting innovations in water resources, agriculture, agriaquaculture, WEF, and climate change in arid regions. He has published 5 books, 8 book chapters and over 100 papers in peer reviewed journals and regional and international conferences.
