Sahera Bleibleh, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Architecture, Urban Design, and Urban Planning at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). Her interdisciplinary research explores socio-spatial resilience, everyday urbanism, cultural heritage, and sustainable, climate-responsive interventions. She examines how power and space are co-produced, contested, and transformed, particularly under urbanisation, war, displacement, and urban violence. Dr. Bleibleh earned her PhD with distinction from the University of Washington (UW), Seattle, receiving the Faculty Medal for Distinguished Research and Methodology. She has been a former Visiting Scholar at UW and Visiting Fellow at ZMO Berlin and was recently nominated as an International Fellow by Stanford University. She has led major projects, including the UAEU Pavilion at Expo 2020. Her widely published and internationally funded work bridges urban planning, green infrastructure, and community-centered design, directly, aligning with climate-resilient infrastructure and landscapes for urban farming initiatives.
