Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID)
Profile
The Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) is a multilateral international organization established in 1976 under an agreement among Arab countries. With 21 member states, AAAID is dedicated to the development of agricultural resources across the Arab world. The Authority holds equity in 45 companies and projects operating in 12 Arab countries, enjoying unique privileges granted through agreements with its member states.
AAAID’s investments are strategically diversified across four key sectors: Agro-Industries, Livestock Production, Crop Production, and Agricultural Services, managed according to professional investment standards to ensure both profitability and developmental impact.
Beyond its investment portfolio, AAAID actively supports sustainable agricultural development strategies across Arab countries, with a strong focus on narrowing the food gap, fostering technology transfer, localizing modern agricultural innovations, and disseminating scientific research outcomes. Through these efforts, AAAID contributes to improved livelihoods, rural community empowerment, and enhanced food security across the Arab region.
