CDotBio is a UK-based agri-biotech developing next-generation crop protection with a focus on RNAi-based solutions.

Our carbon-based delivery platform, Dot, enables precise, sprayable formulations of biologicals such as RNAi, delivering targeted control of pests while reducing chemical inputs and residues.

Our lead program, RedDot, addresses the red palm weevil (RPW), one of the most destructive pests of date palms and a major threat to regional food security and farmer livelihoods. Unlike conventional pesticides, RedDot is designed to act only on the target insect, leaving pollinators and soil microbes unharmed, and it safely degrades after application. We are now preparing proof-of-concept production and are seeking partners across the MENAT region to collaborate on trials and facilitate development.

Backed by a multidisciplinary team in nanoscience and plant biology, CDotBio works closely with growers and agricultural input companies to deliver measurable field performance: improved uptake, reduced dosage requirements, and compatibility with sustainable production practices. Beyond RPW, our platform can be rapidly adapted to new pest pressures, helping farmers respond quickly to outbreaks without relying on broad-spectrum chemistries.
