Dennis Berlinger, PhDAssistant Professor, Center for Translational Immu at UMC UtrechtSpeaker
Profile
Dr. Dennis Beringer is an assistant professor at the Center for Translational Immunology at the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU) in the Netherlands. He earned his PhD in structural biology from Utrecht University. Following this, he moved to Monash University in Australia to investigate the molecular details of T cell receptor (TCR) - antigen interactions in autoimmune diseases and cancer. Fascinated by TCR biology, he returned to Utrecht in 2016 to join Prof. Kuball's group at UMCU, where he studied the molecular determinants of tumor-reactive γδTCRs. Currently, his team is focused on optimizing existing γδ-TCR based therapeutics and developing new ones for cancer treatment using protein engineering strategies.
