Mike Nichols, PhD is a Principal Scientist in AI Protein Design at Manifold Bio, a biotechnology company pioneering tissue-targeted medicines, designed in vivo. He works on the mBER team, developing de novo antibody design systems that combine machine learning with structural biology. His work spans computational binder design and large-scale experimental analysis, generating designs that fuel Manifold's in vivo discovery pipeline. Mike has contributed to the validation of over one million computationally designed antibodies across hundreds of targets. He earned his PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Emory University, where he applied machine learning to genomic architecture prediction.
