Natalia Freund, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at Tel Aviv University. Her research focuses on antibody-mediated immunity across a broad spectrum of diseases, including infectious pathogens - such as HIV-1, poxviruses, SARS-CoV-2, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis - as well as breast and melanoma cancers. Dr. Freund integrates immunology, structural biology, and B cell repertoire analysis to elucidate the mechanisms underlying immune recognition and evasion. Her work has led to the discovery of potent neutralizing antibodies. She contributed to the design of next-generation vaccines and antibody-based therapeutics.
