Troy leads Business Development and Alliance Management at A-Alpha Bio. He began his career at the bench after earning his PhD from the University of Michigan and completing a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley. Over nine years at Berkeley Lights, Troy held leadership roles across R&D, product strategy, and business development—ultimately driving commercial efforts that secured over $200M in deals spanning biopharma, agriculture, and industrial biotechnology. Prior to joining A-Alpha, he served as Chief Business Officer at Abbratech, where he led the company’s transition from a stealth-mode antibody discovery platform to a partner-facing biotech. Troy brings deep technical fluency and a proven ability to scale platform businesses through transformative partnerships.
