Profile

Dr. Engeland received her medical degree from Heidelberg University. During her PhD at the German Cancer
Research Center (DKFZ) she developed oncolytic vectors encoding immune checkpoint antibodies. Since then,
her research has focused on targeted immunomodulation of the tumor microenvironment. The aim of her
work is to translate scientific results into clinical application to improve efficacy of cancer immunotherapy.
