Dr. Kent S. Boles is Director of Global Field Application Science at SGI-DNA where he works with scientists to create more productive workflows by integrating the BioXp™ 3200, a fully automated DNA printer. Dr. Boles earned his Ph.D. in Cancer Immunotherapy from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He went on to receive postdoctoral training in structural immunology at the University of Oxford, U.K. and in immune receptor biology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Subsequently, he directed a phage display core to target therapeutic nanoparticles. He joined SGI/SGI-DNA, Inc. in 2013 to lead the development of the Digital to Biological Converter, an automated platform to produce biologic compounds on-demand from DNA sequences.
