Shelley Izquierdo, Director of Antibody Discovery at Ligand Pharmaceuticals, received her Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in Molecular and Cell Biology. Her career has focused on the development and implementation of new technologies for interrogating B cell populations. At Crystal Bioscience she developed the GEM assay for recovering antibodies from immunized chickens, including the OmniChicken™. Shelley now oversees partner programs that require antibodies against difficult targets that are high homology in mammals.
