El Djouhar Rekaï, PhD

Head of Business Unit Peptide Process Development at PolyPeptide Group

Dr. Rekaï is Head of Process Development, at PolyPeptide Group in Belgium, in charge of the R&D, scaling-up and validation of the peptide projects.

She is born in Paris and obtained her PhD in Organic Chemistry (Sugar chemistry) from Pierre and Marie Curie University in year 1997. She took up a post-doctoral position in Polymer chemistry at the University catholique de Louvain in Belgium from 1998 to 1999.

In January 2000, Dr. Rekaï started as peptide R&D Chemist at UCB-Bioproducts, Braine-l’Alleud (Belgium). Then, she specialized in chemical up scaling and validation before taking on the role of the overall Process Development from R&D to validation in October 2013.
