Jan Schubert is Commercial Director at Avenir LNG, a leading provider of small-scale LNG terminal and supply infrastructure for marine bunkering and industrial customers. With 5 ships, Avenir has the second largest fleet of small-scale LNG vessels and provides LNG bunker services world-wide. With more than 200 LNG transfers per year, Avenir is the leading LNG bunker supplier in the Baltic Sea area. Mr. Schubert has more than a decade experience in developing LNG and bio-LNG infrastructure for marine, inland vessels and truck customers including positions at the Linde Group subsidiary Nauticor and German alternative fuel infrastructure developer ViGo (ex LIQUIND 24/7), a subsidiary of Vitol. Mr. Schubert has a special focus on land- and sea-based supply chains for marine customers and his experience includes several hundred LNG and bio-LNG bunkering operations and the world’s first loading of synthetic LNG into a container feeder vessel in 2021.
