Profile
Pawel Stanczak is an experienced professional in the fields of transportation, distribution and storage of natural gas with over 30 years of experience. His career covers the key stages of reforms implemented in both Poland’s and Ukraine’s gas transmission sectors, as well as the implementation of European standards in the activities of gas transmission system operators.
With PGNiG, Mr. Stanczak played a key role in the establishment of the independent gas TSO of Poland - Gaz-System S.A. Between 2004 and 2008, he served as a Technical Director – Member of the Board of Gaz-System. Subsequently was in the board of the PGNiG Technologies (the construction company) responsible for the new technologies and construction of gas and oil infrastructure.
In 2018 Pawel Stanczak joined the Board of JSC Ukrtransgaz, where he was responsible for the unbundling process and the establishment of an independent gas TSO of Ukraine. In the newly created GTSOU, he held the position of Deputy General Director for Development and Transformation and for some time acting CEO. Recently Mr. Stanczak was appointed as the Director of the Operator’s Representation in the EU.
Pawel Stanczak obtained his Master and engineering degree from the Warsaw University of Technology (Politechnika Warszawska). The degree of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), and received MBA diplomas from the Leon Koźmiński Academy Of Entrepreneurship and Management (Warsaw) and University of Bradford.
