Takashi Ueda began his career in the Oil & Gas transportation industry in 2008, during which he has worked in various fields including crude oil transportation, LNG transportation, and the development and commercial operation of FSRU businesses. In these fields, he has gained experience in both business development and execution, which includes market research, project structuring, financing procurement, negotiations with shipyards and clients, contract documentation, and more. He also has experience in managing existing contracts. Currently, his main duty is to manage MOL's FSRU portfolios and expand them globally. From 2017 to 2022, he was stationed in London and worked for MOL (Europe Africa) Ltd. as an expatriate. His primary area of business was FSRU, but in his final year there, he also led MOL's decarbonization projects in Europe as Head of Projects (CO2 and Hydrogen).Before assuming his current role, he engaged with global investors for two years as Head of Investor Relations, leading MOL's IR strategies under the supervision of Chief Financial Officer. Before joining MOL, he worked at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation starting in 2003,where he was involved in real estate securitization projects. He mainly handled project origination and structuring (YK(GK)-TK scheme and TMK scheme) during the boom periods when small independent real estate funds were emerging as business frontiers. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tokyo in March 2003.
